How Does Contract Trading Work?

1.Log in to Huobi Pro. Click on the “Contract” button at the bottom. If you have not installed the App, please click here to download: Download Huobi Pro>>.

2.To get started with contract trading, please click on “Open contract trading” and then re-click on the “Open” button in the pop-up window.

3.After clicking on the “Open” button, you’ll see the pages for ID verification, risk verification and the User Agreement. After completing the three steps, please click on the “Confirm” button, which will lead to a page for a quiz. After finishing the quiz, please click on “Submit and open contract trading.” Congrats! Now you are ready to start contract trading.

4.On the page for contract trading, please click on the “…” button in the top-right corner. Then click on “Margin transfer” in the drop-down menu. A message about cross-margin trading will then pop up. After reading the message, please click on “Got it.”

5.On the transfer page, first select the transfer from “Exchange” to “Contract Account.” Then select the cryptocurrency and enter the amount to be transferred, and click on “Transfer.”

6.After completing the transfer, you’ll see your total equity in the account in the top-left corner. You may also click on the list button in the top-left corner to view a range of contracts and select one, say, “BTC Quarterly 0927” to proceed with.

 

7.On the page for contract trading, you may select “Open Long” to buy bullish cryptos or “Open Short” to sell bearish ones. Then you may select the times of leverage. Please enter the order price or select an existing price in the order book on the right. After entering the amount, you may click on “Open Long” or “Open Short.” You may check out the market trend by clicking on the candle-stick button in the top-right corner.

8.After placing orders, you may view executed orders in “Positions” and unexecuted ones in “Limit order” and “Trigger order” (Unexecuted ones can be revoked before being matched). If you’d like to check out existing orders, please scroll down, or click on “All” to view orders in the past week in “Order History.”

9.To close a position, please click “Close” to go to the page for closing positions. You may select “Close Long” to close a long position by selling cryptos or “Close Short” to close a short position by buying cryptos. Then please enter the order price or select an existing price in the order book on the right. After entering the amount, you may click on “Close Long” or “Close Short.”
